Disclaimer
TenantBuddy and TenantBuddy Pro provide general educational resources, editable rental application templates, and software tools to help prepare rental application materials. Neither service is a law firm and neither service provides legal advice.
Information on this site is general in nature and may not apply to your personal circumstances, business workflow, property, or state/territory requirements. You should obtain independent legal, privacy, tenancy, or business advice for legal questions, disputes, compliance issues, or client-facing obligations.
We do not guarantee rental approval, tenancy outcomes, subscription results, client outcomes, or acceptance by landlords, agents, or platforms.
Terms of Service
1. About this service
TenantBuddy sells digital template files for rental applications. TenantBuddy Pro provides subscription software, generated document workflows, client intake tools, and related digital outputs for professionals supporting renters. No physical goods are shipped.
2. Licence and permitted use
For TenantBuddy consumer purchases, we grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use and edit the templates for your own personal rental applications. You must not resell, redistribute, sublicense, or publish the templates as your own product.
For TenantBuddy Pro, we grant the subscribing business a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access and use the service internally for its own client workflow during an active subscription. You must not resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, white-label without an applicable plan, or provide the service itself as a standalone competing product.
3. Pricing and payment
Prices are shown in AUD unless stated otherwise. Payment processing is handled by Stripe and is subject to Stripe's terms and privacy practices. TenantBuddy Pro subscriptions, credit bundles, and billing portal actions are also processed through Stripe.
4. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies you may have under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), including consumer guarantees that cannot be excluded.
5. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, TenantBuddy and TenantBuddy Pro are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the templates, generated content, software workflow, or website content. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the remedies available under law.
6. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The latest version is published on this page.

Refund Policy
1. Change-of-mind
Because TenantBuddy digital products are delivered immediately and TenantBuddy Pro provides digital subscription access, change-of-mind refunds are generally not provided once files are accessed, generated content is used, credits are consumed, or subscription access has commenced.
2. Consumer guarantees under ACL
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are always preserved. If a major failure occurs, you may be entitled to a refund or replacement. For non-major failures, we may first offer to rectify the issue within a reasonable time.
3. Voluntary satisfaction window
In addition to ACL rights, TenantBuddy currently offers a 7-day satisfaction window from purchase date for customers who are not satisfied with the product. For TenantBuddy Pro, any voluntary refund or credit decision is assessed in light of subscription period used, credits consumed, generated output, and the nature of the billing event. This voluntary policy does not limit your ACL rights.
4. How to request a refund
Email hello@tenantbuddy.com.au with your order details, purchase date, and reason for request. We aim to respond within 3 business days.
If a complaint cannot be resolved directly, NSW customers may also seek guidance from NSW Fair Trading.
